At Toyota, it’s “Satisfaction Guaranteed or Exchanged” for Electric!

In order to motivate professionals to switch to 100% electric, Toyota is innovating with a “Satisfaction or Exchanged” operation for the Proace range.

The new 100% electric Proace and Proace City range from Toyota has the advantage of offering the same practical capabilities as traditional engines. The Japanese manufacturer has therefore decided to encourage professionals to take the leap to electric while still having the option to revert to traditional engines if they are not convinced. It’s so simple that it becomes brilliant, but one must still be certain of the value of their electric range!

This is indeed the case for Toyota, which claims that the 100% electric motorization is the best choice for many professionals. In addition to a sustainable approach, it allows for continued operation without compromising on work capacity, enabling unrestricted access in city centers and the dreaded Low Emission Zones (LEZ). The ranges of 330 km for the Proace City and 350 km for the Proace allow most professionals to meet their essential needs.

Three months to make a choice

Specifically, this operation allows a professional to acquire a Proace City or electric Proace on long-term rental and to exchange it for an equivalent thermal model if they realize within the first three months that electric motorization does not suit them. In this case, Toyota Professional commits to exchanging their electric vehicle for a thermal equivalent within six months.

The approach taken by Toyota is bold as the professional clientele is particularly demanding. Three months to evaluate a vehicle is very little, so what can be said when it comes to assessing a new technology… Regarding driving pleasure and user comfort, electric technology will undoubtedly appeal to even the most resistant, but what about the constraints of charging? Transitioning to electric requires preparation, especially in assessing autonomy needs and charging solutions. If a professional drives 400 km a day and has no charging solution near their home or workplace, we are heading for trouble.

The results of the operation promise to be interesting as, to our knowledge, this is a significant first on such a large scale. The offer is available in Toyota dealerships until December 31, 2024, and after the holidays, it will be time to assess the outcome.
