A War Cybertruck? The Big Trouble for Tesla
This page is translated from the original post "Un Cybertruck de guerre ? Le grand malaise pour Tesla" in French.

The fact that a pro-Putin dictator is using a Cybertruck for his propaganda only matters to those it interests, but it is quite a blemish.
The Chechen warlord, Ramzan Kadyrov, appeared on social media in a video where he is driving a Cybertruck mounted with a heavy machine gun. The dictator even films himself comfortably lying in the vehicle, which he describes as ready to go into battle in Ukraine. Kadyrov goes on to shower praises on the electric pickup, which he willingly calls the “best car in the world.” There are advertisements that would be better left unsaid, and this one likely didn’t make anyone in the United States laugh.
Much more troubling, Kadyrov continues by stating that the vehicle was personally gifted to him by the “respected” Elon Musk so that he could test the technology and especially the durability of the machine. And what better way to do that than to send it to the front lines?
Whether one loves him or hates him, there is never a middle ground with him, and it is hard, if not unthinkable, to imagine Elon Musk sending one of his cars to a recognized tyrant for promotional purposes. While world leaders were still questioning their involvement following the Russian aggression, Elon Musk immediately made his satellite internet network, SpaceX’s Starlink, available to help Ukraine. An initiative that triggered the Kremlin’s anger, which has since continuously denigrated anything related to Elon Musk.
Proof that no one takes the pro-Russian loudmouth seriously, Tesla’s stock reached its highest level of the week. So let’s not be fooled and leave this controversy in the gutter where it never should have emerged.
