Alpine Maroc AGS

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Alpine’s World Championship victory at the Morocco Rally, AGS is organizing a 5-day VIP rally in southern Morocco.

AGS (Automobiles Gonfaronnaises Sportives) participated in the Formula 1 World Championships from 1986 to 1992 under the leadership of its founder Henri Julien, affectionately called Monsieur Julien by his colleagues. After his passing, the organization ceased all racing activities to develop a Formula 1 training concept in the Var region. This was AGS’s main activity for years. In early 2019, Willy Collignon, owner and manager of Team First Motorsport, arrived in Gonfaron and has not left since!

Between developing driving school activities and returning to historic competition, he took the time to craft a customized program in Morocco for Alpine owners. From the A106 of 1955 to the A110 of 2023, including the Alpine R5, all Alpines are welcome.

Over 5 days, a secret route of approximately 1500 km, consisting of measured notes, regularity, orientation, and sporting challenges will lead participants to discover Morocco and its local customs, with a steering wheel in hand on an entirely asphalt route.

The Route

  • Prologue: Marrakech – Agafay
  • Stage 1: Agafay – Ouarzazate
  • Stage 2: Ouarzazate – Ouarzazate
  • Stage 3: Ouarzazate – Agadir
  • Stage 4: Agadir – Essaouira
  • Link: Essaouira – Marrakech

The Program

The event will take place over 5 days from Monday, March 18 to Friday, March 22, 2024. The rally aims to be friendly but presents a real challenge. It will not solely involve following GPS to connect points but also following the roadbook. Hotel nights, meals, activities, local customs, and surprises are included in the package offered by AGS at a rate of 9,990 euros per two-person team.

The adventure will conclude with a gala evening and awards ceremony held in Essaouira.
