BYD Denza Z: Here is the extreme version of the electric supercar with over 1,000 hp

An even more radical version of the BYD Denza Z has been spotted testing at the Nürburgring, hinting at its ambitions.

BYD continues to prepare for the arrival of the Denza Z, its future electric supercar intended for the global market. After revealing the first official visuals of the production version, the Chinese manufacturer is once again making headlines with the appearance of a much more radical prototype, caught in development at the Nürburgring.

The spy photos reveal a model whose presentation differs significantly from the civilian version. This variant features a particularly spectacular aerodynamic kit, with a large rear spoiler, specific appendages, and several elements designed to maximize downforce at high speeds. Everything indicates that BYD is preparing an even more high-performance version, likely aimed at intensive track use.

Is the future of Hypercars electric?

The manufacturer has not yet revealed the technical characteristics of this variant. However, it is expected to utilize the e3 platform already used by the production Denza Z. This platform includes three electric motors producing over 1,000 hp and claims a 0 to 100 km/h time of less than two seconds. It will also benefit from the new Blade Battery 2.0 and Flash Charging technology, capable of recharging the battery from 10 to 97% in just nine minutes under optimal conditions.

The design of the Denza Z has been entrusted to Wolfgang Egger, former head of style at Audi and Lamborghini. BYD aims to strengthen the credibility of its premium Denza brand in the European market, where it hopes to compete with historical sports car manufacturers.

The official presentation of the Denza Z is expected in the coming weeks at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. In the meantime, this extreme version spotted at Nürburgring shows that BYD intends not only to offer a high-performance electric supercar but also a variant capable of competing with the most exclusive models in the segment.
