The Toyota GR Yaris Gets Even More Aggressive with the AERO Kit!

The GR Yaris range is enriched with a new AERO finish, directly inspired by Toyota GAZOO Racing’s competitive experience.

First presented to the European public at the Acropolis Rally, this extreme version of the turbulent GR Yaris is distinguished by six aerodynamic elements designed to improve performance and cooling.

Since 2020, the GR Yaris draws its DNA from motorsport. It is inspired in particular by the GR YARIS Rally1 from the World Rally Championship (WRC), combining power, balance, and efficiency. The Toyota GAZOO Racing team continuously analyzes driving data and driver feedback while examining parts post-competition to refine the model.

The GR Yaris, a competitive offspring

The GR Yaris AERO is a testament to this. Its sculpted aluminum hood integrates a large grille and a cooling air duct to efficiently dissipate engine heat at high speeds. The front spoiler, developed with driver Kazuya Oshima, reduces lift and enhances grip, while the adjustable rear wing stabilizes the vehicle at high speeds and during braking.

The underbody features a flat bottom inspired by the competition model that races in Super Taikyu, the Japanese endurance championship. This design optimizes airflow under the bodywork to better guide airflow in this highly sensitive area. Aerodynamic ducts situated between the front wheels and the doors, as well as at the rear bumper, reduce drag and enhance stability, especially during corner entry.
