The Renault Zoe more economical than ever in 2022

The Renault Zoe adapts to the new Megane by offering more equipment for less money.

Renault took advantage of the new year to unexpectedly refresh the Zoe lineup, as our colleagues from discovered at Automobile Propre. Prices are decreasing and the level of equipment is increasing, which further improves the value for money.

This was foreseeable after the mid-December announcement of the pricing of the new Renault Megane E-Tech, the upper-segment electric sedan. It was only slightly more expensive than the Zoe, which suddenly limited the appeal of the latter.

The Renault Zoe now adopts the 3 trim levels introduced by the Megane, replacing the previous Life, Zen, and Intens trims.

More equipment for less money

The Renault Zoe E-Tech Electric Balance R110 is now the new base model. It drops from €32,500 to €32,000, a modest decrease of €500 or 1.5%. However, it now comes standard with the Easy Link multimedia system with a 7-inch touchscreen, without navigation, which was previously an optional €500 upgrade. The price reduction is therefore €1,000 at the same level of equipment, and the gap with the Megane increases from €2,700 to €3,200.

The new Evolution trim is only offered with the R110 80 kW (108 hp) motor, whereas the replaced Zen trim was also available with the R135 100 kW (136 hp) motor. This version starts at €33,500.

This motorization is now exclusive to the high-end Techno trim, which replaces the Intens trim. The price drops from €36,500 to €35,200, a reduction of €1,300. The decrease is actually €2,050 or just under 10% (9%) when considering the Easy Park Assist and 17-inch wheels, now standard, which used to be options costing €400 and €350 respectively.

The new lineup and prices are available now on the updated configurator on Renault’s website.

Recall that a €6,000 eco-friendly bonus can be deducted from each of these prices, in accordance with the ecological bonus available until June 30, 2022.
