Tesla rentals at favorable prices available at Carrefour

Carrefour Location expands its offerings by adding two Tesla models to its catalog: the Model Y and the Model 3.

Tesla rentals have been available since June at about thirty Carrefour Location stores. The offering will then be introduced in other stores under the brand. By September, 80 hypermarkets and supermarkets are expected to offer it.

Whether it’s the Model Y or the Model 3, the rental costs €59 for the first day until July 31. Afterwards, prices range between €119 and €149, depending on the duration and the time of week. Overall, these prices are more attractive than those offered by other rental specialists.

Charging on Tesla Superchargers is included in the package. Customers can also connect their cars to other charging stations, but they will no longer benefit from free charging.

For Carrefour, the arrival of Tesla in its rental service is also a way to highlight its commitment to electric vehicles. Carrefour Energies is gradually expanding its network of charging stations in the brand’s parking lots. By 2025, 5,000 charging points will be available. The installed chargers can deliver up to 300 kW of power.

According to Baptiste Prevoteau, Director of Merchant Services at Carrefour France, the rise of telecommuting and the extended delivery times for new cars have had a positive effect on rental services. In this context, the utilization rate of Carrefour Location’s Teslas could quickly approach 80%.
