Unlike other firms, Pininfarina has gone all the way with their electric supercar project.
Pininfarina recently launched production of the Battista, four years after unveiling the project. The 1,900 hp electric supercar is handcrafted in Italy, in a workshop located in Cambiano. Production of this exceptional vehicle will be limited to 150 units. On average, the workshop staff will spend 1,250 hours on each unit. The Battista Anniversario, an even more exclusive version of the car, will require 1,340 hours of work.
Customization options are extremely numerous. Pininfarina even claims that there are 13.9 quintillion exterior combinations and 128 million possible interior configurations. Customers can refine their project in an annex of the workshop, where different types of materials and a wide palette of colors are displayed.
The start of a new adventure
The Pininfarina workshop has already produced the first Battista, which was photographed in Monaco. Per Svantesson, CEO of Automobili Pininfarina, expressed his satisfaction at seeing the project come to fruition. “We are proud to have achieved this goal and, in doing so, we are paving the way for an exciting new era of luxury, where pure design and sustainable innovations will give rise to a series of incredible new vehicles at Automobili Pininfarina“, he said. Pininfarina Automobili, owned by Mahindra, is therefore not planning to stop here.

The Pininfarina Battista can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 2 seconds. It features four electric motors, delivering a combined power of 1,900 hp and 2,360 Nm of torque. The battery, with a capacity of 120 kWh, guarantees a theoretical range of 476 km (WLTP cycle).
The price of the Battista starts at just over 2 million euros. The Anniversario version, limited to 5 units, costs at least 2.6 million euros.
