Dodge Charger Daytona: what power does the electric muscle car have?
This page is translated from the original post "Dodge Charger Daytona : quelle puissance pour le muscle-car électrique ?" in French.

The future American electric coupe Dodge Charger Daytona makes its return at the SEMA Show, announcing some of its versions with up to 670 hp.
Unveiled in August, Dodge’s upcoming electric muscle car provided no technical details. Keeping the mystery for several weeks, the manufacturer decided to share more information at the beginning of November.
Six levels of power… for now
At the SEMA Show, the American tuning exhibition in Las Vegas, Dodge Charger Daytona returns in a new red color. This will be one of nine available shades at launch. More interestingly, the powerful electric coupe has revealed part of its range, varying by power. There will be two versions, 340 kW and 440 kW, each with the possibility of two power upgrades called “eStage”:
- 340 kW / 455 hp – base model
- 370 kW / 495 hp eStage 1
- 400 kW / 535 hp eStage 2
- 440 kW / 590 hp – base model
- 470 kW / 630 hp eStage 1
- 500 kW / 670 hp eStage 2

But that’s not all, because here we’re only talking about versions equipped with 400 V systems. The Dodge Charger Daytona will feature an “SRT Banshee” engine running at 800 V, offering even higher power and performance, also with their “eStage” options. A total of nine variants!
As for range, batteries, prices, or launch date, you’ll have to wait a little longer.
Will there be a Dodge Charger Daytona in France and Europe?
Traditionally, muscle cars are not meant to cross the Atlantic. One exception is the Ford Mustang since 2014 — not the Mustang Mach-E, which is a coupe — but its €40,000 penalty inhibits many sales.
But precisely, if the 2023 Mustang doesn’t switch to electric to avoid these taxes, the Dodge Charger Daytona has more legitimacy. Moreover, since the brand recently joined the new Stellantis group, could it benefit from the Peugeot or Fiat network, or even the sportier Alfa Romeo network? After all, the SUV Alfa Romeo Tonale was indeed cloned into the Dodge Hornet…
