More than a year after its debut, the Nissan Ariya is finally available in France. The first all-electric SUV from the Japanese manufacturer joins the Nissan Qashqai and Nissan X-Trail, which remain faithful to combustion and hybrid engines.

The Nissan Ariya thus continues the lineage of the Nissan Leaf, which was something of a pioneer in the electric vehicle category. However, although the Nissan Ariya is slightly delayed, it is built on a brand new CMF-EV platform shared with the Renault Mégane E-Tech Electric.

Two power and battery options
The French lineup revolves around two battery sizes: 63 kWh and 87 kWh. The larger version can benefit from AWD. Under the hood, the electric motor is also available in two power outputs: 218 hp and 242 hp when paired with the 87 kWh large battery.
Regarding charging solutions, the standard offer includes a fairly modest 7.4 kW charger, which can be upgraded to 22 kW as an option on the 87 kWh version (1,000 €). For fast DC charging, the Nissan Ariya can accept up to 130 kW.

Nissan Ariya finishes
Currently, only two trim levels are available: Advance (semi-autonomous driving with ProPILOT, 19″ alloy wheels, LED lights, connected GPS, power-operated tailgate, and heated and electric front seats) or Evolve (panoramic sunroof, head-up display, Bose® Premium sound system, electrically sliding center console, autonomous parking, smart rearview mirror…).

The prices of the Nissan Ariya start at 46,400 € in the “base” version and go up to 60,400 € for the Evolve e-4orce version.
While waiting to share our full review, our range and average consumption measurements, here are our photos taken around Rouen, in somewhat capricious weather!
