Vélo in Paris 2023: A Festival for All Types of Cyclists!

At the Parc Floral in Paris, the Vélo in Paris Festival showcases all types of bikes as well as their accessories from May 27 to 29, 2023.

A festival dedicated to gentle mobility by bike, with test rides, a good atmosphere, and a dedicated track—interested? Look no further, the “Vélo in Paris” festival takes place from May 27 to 29, 2023, at the Parc Floral in Paris (12th arrondissement).

In the event area of the Parc Floral in Paris, you can discover bikes for all sizes and uses. Mechanical bikes, cargo bikes, longtail bikes, and electric bikes are present at the show.

The entry price for the festival is five euros for adults and free for children under 12 years old. Additionally, your festival ticket allows you to spend the rest of the day in the Parc Floral. Wild animals roam there, such as geese and fawns!

On the first day of the festival, we had the opportunity to walk around and meet exhibitors of bikes and cycling accessories.

Neomouv, a manufacturer of electric assistance bikes in France since 2003

Neomouv is a French brand based in La Flèche (Pays de la Loire). Since 2003, the brand specializes in electric assist bikes (VAE) for urban use. Their goal is to offer VAE for as many people as possible.

Bike prices start at €1,539 for the Linaria model and go up to €2,709 for the Elaia 2 model. You can choose an urban, folding, all-terrain, or multi-purpose VAE according to your needs. We will soon test the urban Carlina Hydraulique bike, equipped with hydraulic brakes and an autonomy of 70 to 80 km (in theory).

Beyond my Bike, a collective of female fashion creators on bikes

Under the supervision of Ophélie Laffuge, this collective Beyond my Bike highlights some female creators of cycling accessories. You can discover accessories such as:

• Textiles suited for mobility with Cycladine and Cityrideuz;
• Colorful and practical accessories with Suzon & Suzette (cold-weather sleeves, saddle covers, and skirt clips);
• Original visibility vests with Vasimimile;
• Hand-painted helmets by Viràg;
• Stylish and practical baskets with Petites Reines.

The creators of these brands are present at the show if you want to exchange with them. We notably spoke with the creator of CityRideuz, who explained that she works with an Ivorian workshop to manufacture her clothes. A solidarity effort on top of offering colorful clothing!

Be my LED, a complete LED lighting system for safety

Two experienced cyclists launched a project involving a belt, vest, and luminous attachment for backpacks to help cyclists improve their visibility. Every urban cyclist has experienced a lack of visibility, especially during the day. Slaloming between cars is often dangerous because cars have difficulty seeing you.

These two cyclists from Be My LED offer a luminous belt that can be attached to your backpack. At the Be My LED stand, you’ll find a prototype signaling vest with turn signals, brake lights, and hazard lights.

Gamel Helmets, helmets with integrated LEDs

One of the most important safety elements for cyclists and scooter users is the helmet. It protects your head in case of a fall. The brand Gamel is pre-ordering their helmets with built-in LEDs at their stand at Vélo in Paris so you can test them in real time on the festival track.

With a simple tilt of your head, the helmet indicates turns to the right and left as well as stops. No need for an extra remote control for direction or stopping—the helmet takes care of it for you!
