After unveiling the exterior details of its autonomous vertical takeoff aircraft, Autoflight is now showcasing the interior.
This will be THE main attraction at the upcoming Paris-Le Bourget Air and Space Show, from June 19 to 25, 2023. eVTols (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft) are set to revolutionize air travel in the coming years.
Following the promise of a demonstration flight at the world’s largest event of its kind, Autoflight now reveals the cockpit of its Prosperity I model. This design is the work of the “star” automobile designer Frank Stephenson, who has previously collaborated with Ferrari, McLaren, Maserati, and Mini.
Out of concern for weight reduction and ecological relevance, Autoflight states that it is still working on developing seats made from recycled materials. The interior layout is highly inspired by the 1990s McLaren F1, with a central seat and two rows behind. This setup is sufficient to carry 4 passengers plus the “backup pilot,” which is currently legally mandatory for safety reasons.
