We know the price of the new Kia EV5 … but in China

It was first introduced on August 25th, just a week later, the price is now known.     

The KIA EV 5 was unveiled at the Chengdu Auto Show. On that day, no technical information was provided by the South Korean company. Today, no technical details have been announced either; only its price has been revealed, and it is attractive.                                                  

Starting price of $22,000 

According to our colleagues at The Korean Car Blog, the brand new Kia EV 5 will have a price of $22,000, or approximately 159,800 yuan. The EV 5 is simply a compact vehicle similar to the EV 9 from the same brand. The model will be available on November 17. This figure is well below expectations, which were around $30,000.

To compare its price to a larger vehicle in both sales volume and size, it will cost $14,000 less than a Tesla Model Y, which is about $36,000 (229,800 yuan). This comparison is based solely on size, as, as mentioned earlier, no technical specifications have been leaked yet. This pricing will allow the South Korean company to be competitive in the electric vehicle market within the country.

A few days ago, the vehicle was unveiled to the public, and during that time, some information leaked, particularly its size. It measures 4.16 meters in length, with a width of 1.87 meters and a height of 1.71 meters.
