The new generation of MINI Countryman introduces a C model, with a hybrid petrol engine, as the entry point to the range.
The new MINI Countryman has grown in size, being 13 centimeters longer and 8 centimeters taller than its predecessor. The new octagonal grille contributes to the refreshed appearance of the model, which retains the typical short overhangs of the brand.
With the MINI Countryman C, the brand combines enjoyable driving, a spacious interior, and an efficient 3-cylinder petrol engine. With 170 hp (125 kW), the MINI Countryman C accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 212 km/h. With a torque of 280 Nm and TwinPower Turbo technology, it has the power and responsiveness necessary for the brand’s typical driving pleasure. The 48 V mild hybrid technology is used to recover energy during braking phases and reduce the load on the internal combustion engine during acceleration, with an electric drive power of 14 kW. This reduces fuel consumption and emissions of the MINI Countryman C.
Inside, the standard sports seats offer more space for passengers thanks to an additional three centimeters in shoulder and elbow width, while the three rear seatbacks can be individually adjusted in six positions, up to 12° of inclination. The trunk capacity varies from 450 liters to 1460 liters thanks to the rear seatbacks, which can be folded down in a 40:20:40 split.
At the center of the minimalist interior design is a circular OLED display with a diameter of 240 mm. This central instrumentation allows all infotainment and assistance systems to be operated conveniently and intuitively via touch or voice commands. The MINI Experience Modes change the look of the cockpit with a combination of visual design, ambient lighting, and sound effects. All driving functions can be controlled via the characteristic MINI toggle bar.
For the first time on the MINI Countryman, the Drive Assist Pro option enables highly automated Level 2 driving on highway-type routes. This allows the driver to remove their hands from the steering wheel at speeds up to 60 km/h, provided they continue to closely monitor traffic and are prepared to intervene at any time.
