Hydrogen Taxis Accessible for Wheelchair Users

HysetCo, a pioneer company in hydrogen mobility and a European leader, takes a new step forward by developing, for the first time on a large scale, the transportation of wheelchair users with zero-emission hydrogen vehicles. Classified Crit’air 0, these are 108 licenses awarded to HysetCo by the Paris police prefecture, concretely illustrating HysetCo’s commitment to an inclusive Crit’air 0 mobility.

From the first half of 2024, HysetCo will deploy in Paris and Île-de-France the first fleet of wheelchair-accessible taxis with hydrogen vehicles that meet the Crit’air 0 standard, a classification rarely achieved in this segment. This concrete initiative demonstrates HysetCo’s commitment to reducing pollution and promoting environmentally friendly mobility accessible to all.

The company is expected to rely on its recent collaboration with HYVIA, a joint venture dedicated to hydrogen mobility, which offers an ecosystem of solutions including a range of H2 utility vehicles (vans, minibuses, chassis cabs) and private H2 refueling stations for its professional clients.

For taxis, license rental is available upon customer request. These licenses are integrated into the packaged service offerings provided by HysetCo to its clients, from vehicle access, insurance, maintenance, training, to hydrogen supply.
