MG to Celebrate Its Centennial at Goodwood

MG made a splash at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed by presenting the Cyberster and subsequently showcasing it in a demonstration on the famous hill climb. The Sino-British manufacturer is back this year with the ambition to make a mark on the event where it will be the headliner.

“After the world premiere of the remarkable Cyberster at the 2023 Festival of Speed, we are delighted that MG is returning to Goodwood this year to celebrate its centenary in style,” said the Duke of Richmond, founder of the Festival of Speed. “This is a fitting tribute to the first 100 years of one of the oldest and most popular British manufacturers, which maintains a long-standing tradition with Goodwood.”

The MG Cyberster in the spotlight

To launch the partnership with the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Cyberster was joined outside Goodwood House by one of its most famous predecessors. A stunning 1964 Roadster Mk1 MGB equipped with a 1.8-liter BMC engine. Both MG roadsters from different eras are expected to play leading roles at the Festival of Speed.

The event will take place at the Goodwood Estate, in the south of Sussex, on England’s south coast, from July 11 to 14, 2024. Tickets for the world’s biggest automotive garden-party are available at goodwood.com.
