Tesla Model 3 for only €38,990 for 3 days—what happens after?

Until March 28, 2024, Tesla is offering an exceptional €4,000 discount on its Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive. The latest one?

At €42,990 excluding incentives since December 15, 2023, the Tesla Model 3 had lost some appeal, even becoming €4,000 more expensive than the Model Y.

Tesla quickly responded by offering an extraordinary discount on its sedan to match the price of its SUV cousin. Initially limited to new stock vehicles ordered before March 17, the offer was extended until March 28. Meanwhile, the Model Y was cheaper by €4,000 at first, then €2,000 more expensive, but with discounted models… A pricing cacophony never seen before!

In any case, this price drop revealed a sense of urgency, namely to clear vehicles that had been clogging up stock since the removal of the Ecological Bonus. An exception, however, while on the other side of the Atlantic, the price of the Model 3 continues to rise. Unfortunately, we can now expect a similar policy in Europe.

Unless the manufacturer continues to apply discounts on a case-by-case basis to keep the momentum around its models. We might have a Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive week, then a Model Y Dual Motor week, a month of the Model S Plaid, and the cheapest Model X you’ve ever seen for a day. If that’s the case, we haven’t seen the last of Tesla’s surprises…
