The Hyundai CASPER Electric is No Longer a Phantom
Hyundai today unveiled the first official images of its new 100% electric A-segment car, the INSTER.
According to Hyundai, INSTER is derived from “intimate” and “innovative.” We shall see, but the name of the new compact electric vehicle from the Korean brand primarily reflects the evolution of the gasoline CASPER introduced in 2021, which is only available in the Korean market. Like all good electric innovations, INSTER aspires to set new standards in terms of range, technology, and safety—everything buyers can expect from a vehicle in this category.

The images reveal a robust yet compact SUV profile with LED daytime running lights as well as pixel graphic turn signals and taillights that define the design of this new subcompact electric vehicle.

Hyundai announces a maximum expected range of 355 km (WLTP) on a single charge. INSTER will make its global debut at the Busan International Mobility Show.
