Volkswagen Mondial Auto

The days go by and the list of brands present at the Paris Auto Show continues to grow. The latest is Volkswagen.

2024 is a major year for Volkswagen with the renewal of its models like the Golf, Passat, and Tiguan, and the long-awaited revival of its 100% electric ID range. Digital communication is one thing, but nothing replaces contact with the public, which is why they are present at the Paris Auto Show.

Volkswagen will primarily showcase its future 7-seat family SUV, the Tayron. This new model will be launched at the beginning of 2025 on the market. Alongside it, visitors will find the latest renewed models, including the urban SUV T-Cross, the 3rd generation Tiguan, Volkswagen’s best-selling model worldwide, as well as the 9th generation Passat. The latter is the brand’s second best-selling model in history, with over 34 million units sold since its launch over 50 years ago. In first place? Of course, the inevitable Golf.

Sport and electric features on the Volkswagen stand

Having sold over 37 million units worldwide, the Golf celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. To look good for the celebration, it benefits from a facelift, new technologies, and new engines, including plug-in hybrid versions with over 130 kilometers of range in 100% electric mode for daily use. These technologies and engines are also shared with the new generations of Tiguan and Passat. The compact model has also been released in three new sporty versions: GTI, GTI Clubsport, and R. Evolving with the times, Volkswagen will present to the French public the ID. GTI Concept, the 100% electric concept car that was unveiled for the first time at the IAA Mobility in Munich 2023.

There will certainly be discussions about electric. In 2024, Volkswagen will also bring many innovations to its ID family, with the launch of technologically advanced versions of the ID.3, ID.4, and ID.5. The brand also unveiled this year the ID.7 Tourer, its first electric station wagon, a variant of the electric ID.7. All these models will also arrive this year in a sporty GTX version.

Finally, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles will showcase the new Caravelle at its stand, the vehicle derived from the new Transporter dedicated to passenger transport.
