MG prices are not likely to increase anytime soon.

After dominating the French market in 2023 with the MG4, MG does not wish to break its strong momentum.

What should a manufacturer like MG do when the European Union decides to hit you where it hurts the most, in your wallet? In the face of the new customs fees implemented, MG immediately confirmed its intention not to raise its prices in France. Be careful, we are not talking about a few euros in fees, but an additional tax of 37.6%!

MG has thus chosen to prioritize its customers before thinking about its profits. Or rather, the smart choice to anticipate this penalty. The punishment was so anticipated that all manufacturers had time to prepare for it. How? Simply by bringing a large number of vehicles into European soil before the sanctions were applied. It’s childishly simple, but you still need to have strong enough financial backing to store thousands of unsold cars, which therefore do not generate any real revenue. The manual of the perfect little merchant tells you that just-in-time sales are the best way not to go bankrupt. It’s so much easier to only build what you are certain to sell.

MG Motor France has extended its promotional offers until 30/09/2024 for the MG4, ZS EV, MG5, Marvel R, and EHS. A timeline that brings us to early October, when the additional customs fees should be reviewed and fixed. But from a reliable source, we know that the Sino-British manufacturer has enough stock to last until November. One does not become one of the best car sellers in Europe by chance.
