Ducati Gains an Olympic Ambassador

Olympic pole vault champion, Renaud Lavillenie is also a great fan of motorsports, particularly motorcycles.

Olympic champion in 2012 and world indoor champion in pole vaulting in 2012, 2016, and 2018, Renaud Lavillenie needs no introduction. However, it is less known that the man who was once the highest pole vaulter in the world is also an experienced motorcyclist, and has been for a long time. It is therefore not surprising that his path crosses with Ducati, of which he becomes the new ambassador.

Although pole vaulting remains his favorite sport, Renaud Lavillenie has always held a special place in his heart for motorsports. A regular competitor in the eTrophée Andros, a 100% electric ice racing competition, he notably participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans Moto in 2013. By now, you understand that this partnership is anything but a simple publicity stunt?

The champion has chosen the Diavel V4 from the Italian manufacturer’s range, the “Sport Cruiser” of the Ducati lineup, powered by the now-famous V4 Granturismo engine, which develops 168 hp.

There is no doubt that we will see Renaud Lavillenie riding a Ducati at events organized by the brand, as he is just as passionate about winding and beautiful roads as all the other Ducatisti. The We Ride As One event has already marked the beginning of this collaboration, on May 4, for the international gathering event of all Ducatisti worldwide.
