The big green Teslas are among us!

Bolt accelerates the transition to electric mobility by increasing the share of electric vehicles on its platform by 60%.

Bolt today announced the launch in Paris of a premium fleet of Teslas, fully wrapped in the brand’s distinctive green. This initiative is part of the company’s long-term investment of more than 50 million euros to advance low-emission mobility in France. Paris is one of the first cities selected to pilot this initiative, with an initial deployment of 50 all-green Teslas.

Bolt offers VTC drivers the opportunity to reduce their costs by facilitating access to Teslas without the high initial costs generally associated with purchasing electric vehicles. Drivers will benefit from the financial agreement they have with Bolt as part of this initiative on the green Teslas, covering a significant portion of their monthly rental fees, thus easing their financial burden while allowing them to try driving an electric vehicle in a completely flexible manner.

Unsurprisingly, a survey conducted by Bolt among more than 7,000 drivers identified that the major barrier to switching to 100% electric vehicles is the higher purchase cost compared to thermal vehicles for 35% of them. This is followed by limited battery range and lack of access to fast charging. In addition to facilitating access to electric vehicles, Bolt has made agreements with suppliers such as Electra to ensure drivers have access to the necessary infrastructure and reduced charging costs.

A gesture for drivers and of course, a nice publicity move since it will be hard not to notice these Teslas completely covered in vibrant green!
