The Toyota Aygo X Cranks Up the Volume with JBL
The new special series of the Toyota Aygo X features a premium JBL audio system designed specifically for it.
The Toyota Aygo X has exchanged its classic city car body for a crossover body. A way to stand out by offering a slightly more fun look without fundamentally altering the car itself. Consequently, it lends itself very well to various customizations, both exterior and interior.

Aiming for a young clientele with this model, Toyota realized that the car’s audio system plays a major role in triggering the purchase decision, hence this very nice collaboration with JBL. Hundreds of hours of work were needed to design a premium audio system tailored to the exact characteristics of the Aygo X’s cabin. The placement of the speakers plays an important role with two speakers installed in the front doors and 25-millimeter tweeters on the A-pillars. In the back, a 200 mm subwoofer, an unprecedented size for such a compact car, generates powerful bass. The 300 W amplifier located under the passenger seat has six channels that JBL engineers have used to refine the frequencies to achieve a sound perfectly suited for rock and pop music.

The Toyota Smart Connect system allows for easy selection of desired music, thanks to wireless connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, all controlled via the large 10.5-inch HD central touchscreen.
On the outside, the Aygo X JBL sports a two-tone paint of Jasmine Gray and black, as well as specific 18-inch alloy wheels in Jasmine Violet and black. The JBL logo is placed at the rear and on the premium fabric seats. Its pricing should be announced before the end of the month.
