CB1000 Hornet, Honda’s new jewel for 2025

The CB1000 Hornet will be launched in 2025, and the manufacturer aims to capitalize on the immense success of the 2023 CB750.

With a pure and aggressive “streetfighter” style, the Honda Hornet CB1000 impresses. Its new frame, designed for high torsional rigidity, incorporates short gear ratios and Showa suspensions. The design is sleek and dynamic, highlighted by a bold look thanks to a compact dual LED headlight and a characteristic tank of Hornet models. It is wide at the front and narrows toward the seat to enhance the bike’s slender silhouette. The lines are accentuated by a frame and a rear loop discreetly dressed in black. There’s no doubt this nervous version meets Hornet standards.

And if that’s not enough, an SP version is available. It is more powerful (+5 hp +3 Nm) and equipped with high-performance components. A rear shock Öhlins TTX36 as well as Brembo Stylema brake calipers adorn the beast. Aesthetically, customers have three color options: red, matte gray, and white for the original version. For the SP version, there’s an exclusive matte black color with gold rims and fork tubes, reflecting the threatening insect that inspired the vehicle’s silhouette, the hornet.

Honda capitalizes on the success of the CB750

Honda made the right call. In 2023, the manufacturer decided to revisit its 600 Hornet, which contributed to its success in the 2000s. To this end, Honda produced the CB750 Hornet, and its success was resounding. It was simply the best-selling roadster in Europe that year.

In early 2024, Honda released the CB500 Hornet, a lighter, less powerful, and cheaper version than its big sister. But for 2025, Honda is pulling out all the stops and surely hopes to achieve the same level of success as with the CB750 Hornet, a challenging but not impossible task.
