Evolution Without Revolution: Here Are the Prices of the New Volkswagen Caravelle

The 7th generation of the Volkswagen Caravelle is available to order in France starting at €56,160.

When a vehicle concept like the Caravelle is good, it doesn’t age—it evolves. Well, slowly in the case of our legendary adventurer since the initial batch only includes highly efficient turbo diesel engines paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic, along with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Electric motors will be offered later upon order. A way to possibly save on the long-wheelbase ID. Buzz whose career is just beginning? Certainly!

The new Caravelle comes standard with 8 seats: 2 front seats, 3 individual foldable seats in the second row, and a fixed 3-passenger bench in the third row. As an option, it can accommodate a 2-passenger bench in the front in addition to the driver’s seat, thus offering 9 seats onboard.

Two wheelbases are available: a base version of 3.10 m for a total vehicle length of 5.05 m and a long-wheelbase version of 3.50 m, increasing the overall length to 5.45 m.

Volkswagen Caravelle Pricing as of 11/09/2024:

• 2.0 TDI 150 hp / 110 kW engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, starting at €56,160
• 2.0 TDI 150 hp / 110 kW engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, starting at €58,500
• 2.0 TDI 4MOTION (all-wheel drive) 150 hp / 110 kW engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, starting at €62,600
• 2.0 TDI 4MOTION (all-wheel drive) 170 hp / 125 kW engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, starting at €64,100

These prices apply to the L1 short-wheelbase version. For only an additional €960, all models are available in the L2 long-wheelbase version.

Electric motors will be available for order later. Among these upcoming options, the e-Caravelle will feature a 64 kWh battery and deliver either 136 hp or 286 hp.
