BMW M3 CS Touring, the family wagon on steroids!

There are several ways to enjoy a weekend with family. BMW offers us a very exciting proposal!

The BMW M3 CS Touring is a special and unprecedented version that combines performance, cutting-edge technology, and versatility. Coming from M Motorsport expertise, it is based on the BMW M3 Competition Touring with M xDrive, but stands out with a 550 hp six-cylinder engine, specific chassis adjustments, and extensive use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) to reduce its weight. This combination results in a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in just 3.5 seconds, with a top speed limited to 300 km/h. All this with a trunk capable of carrying bikes, luggage, a dog, or anything else you want. And yes, it’s a station wagon!

Designed to excel on the track while remaining suitable for everyday use, the M3 CS Touring also stands out with exclusive design elements and advanced technologies. It features lightweight rims, optimized tires for the track, an adjustable M xDrive all-wheel drive system, and an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission. The active M differential and custom chassis settings ensure exceptional precision and an immersive driving experience.

Audi dared with the RS4, BMW follows

The performance-focused interior includes M Carbon bucket seats in Merino leather, an Alcantara steering wheel, and exclusive details like CFRP trims and “CS” lettering. The M Drive Professional system, with features like the M Drift Analyzer and M Laptimer, further emphasizes its sporty orientation.

Offered in France at 165,500 euros, the M3 CS Touring is logically subject to a 60,000-euro environmental tax, making its commercial future very limited in France. BMW will likely focus its efforts on other markets that do not heavily tax 100% combustion engines, such as Switzerland and Germany. A pity for us, because this special edition combines motorsport heritage with everyday practicality, embodying the very essence of BMW M philosophy. Let’s just wait for hybrid and electric versions to enjoy it ourselves.
