New RAV4: The Best of Toyota?

This new RAV4 embodies the evolution of the modern SUV, integrating the latest innovations in electrification, connectivity, and safety.

Toyota introduces the sixth generation of its iconic RAV4, fully rethought to offer improved performance, cutting-edge technology, and increased efficiency.

At the heart of this new generation is the very latest version of Toyota’s plug-in hybrid system, combining power, extended electric range, and energy efficiency. With a high-capacity 22.7 kWh lithium-ion battery, the new RAV4 offers up to 100 km of 100% electric range, a benchmark in the segment. Two fast charging options are available: a 50 kW DC charger, allowing a charge from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes, and an 11 kW AC charger, which reduces charging time to 3 hours.

The AWD-i (intelligent all-wheel drive) version produces a combined power of 304 hp, ensuring acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds. A 2WD version with 268 hp is also available. Advanced thermal management of the battery ensures optimal performance, even in cold weather, thanks to a multi-circuit cooling system.

The new self-charging RAV4 is equally impressive. It benefits from improvements to the power control unit, battery, and axle. Two versions are offered: 183 hp in front-wheel drive and 191 hp with the AWD-i all-wheel drive.

The RAV4 Enters the Arene

Technically, the new RAV4 is based on the Arene software platform, which heralds a new generation of software-defined vehicles. This architecture enables over-the-air updates and integrates the most advanced Toyota Safety Sense system to date, with new features like front cross-traffic alert, automated lane change assistance, and secondary collision braking.

In terms of connectivity, the SUV features the new Toyota multimedia system, powered by Arene OS. It includes a 12.9-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, integrated 3D navigation, and an intelligent voice assistant. The MyToyota app enhances the experience with a digital key, remote services, and customization features.

With this generation, Toyota positions the RAV4 as a cutting-edge SUV, combining electric performance, onboard intelligence, and versatility, ready to meet the demands of modern and sustainable mobility. A bold promise that seems to be fulfilled.
