Book a Singapore Airlines flight… and travel by TGV

The Asian company Singapore Airlines joins the SNCF’s Train+Plane program to facilitate transportation in France.

Singapore Airlines is strengthening its presence in France by joining the Train + Air offer from SNCF. Thanks to this partnership, travelers can now connect 24 major French cities to Singapore Changi Airport by simply combining a trip on TGV INOUI with a long-haul flight from Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle.

Since July 9, 2025, Singapore Airlines has become the 14th airline to integrate this intermodal service, which is already adopted by Air France, Lufthansa, and Emirates. The objective is to simplify passengers’ lives by allowing them to book their entire itinerary, including train and flight, all at once, while ensuring smooth connections.

A single ticket, a single reservation

Specifically, travelers can purchase a single ticket that includes a TGV INOUI trip to or from one of the 24 served stations, as well as a Singapore Airlines flight via Paris-CDG. In the event of a delay or cancellation of either segment, assistance is guaranteed. The assurance of not missing a connection – or being left behind – makes all the difference, especially when planning a long-haul trip to Asia or Oceania.

This offer is now available through authorized travel agencies. Starting in August 2025, it will also be accessible online, directly on the Singapore Airlines website, for an initial selection of stations: Strasbourg, Lille (Europe and Flanders), Nantes, Lyon Part-Dieu, and Marseille. Full deployment will follow gradually.

The cities involved cover the entire French territory: from Bordeaux to Strasbourg, from Marseille to Rennes, including Lyon, Nantes, Montpellier, Avignon, and Valence. This wide coverage allows a large majority of French people to reach a high-quality international service without needing to take a domestic flight or make a complex transfer.

A new gateway for the provinces

For Singapore Airlines, this initiative represents a strategic opportunity. It allows the Asian company to strengthen its foothold in the French market while opening up to a regional clientele. Changi Airport, regularly voted among the best in the world, serves as an ideal platform to reach around forty destinations in the Asia-Pacific region, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

This partnership also illustrates a deeper trend in air transport: the increased integration of rail as an alternative to domestic flights, in a bid to reduce CO₂ emissions. Replacing a short domestic flight with a TGV trip, without extending the overall travel time, becomes both an ecological and practical argument.

The Train + Air offer from SNCF has existed for over thirty years. By aligning with Singapore Airlines, it continues to strengthen its position and solidify its status as the European leader in intermodal solutions.
