Bus électrique VinFast

The Vietnamese manufacturer VinFast launches its deployment in the European public transport market with two electric buses.

VinFast will present its electric buses for the first time in the European market at the Busworld Europe 2025 exhibition, which will take place in Brussels from October 3 to 9. This launch marks the first step in the Vietnamese manufacturer’s international expansion in the public transport sector.

Two models will be unveiled: the EB 8 and the EB 12, designed to meet European standards and specifically thought out for integration into local infrastructures. Both models are equipped with LFP batteries supplied by major players such as CATL and Gotion, offering up to 422 kWh of capacity and a claimed range of 400 km. With a fast charging capability of 140 kW, the vehicles can be fully recharged in 2 to 3 hours.

The buses integrate various advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as blind spot detection, forward collision warning, intelligent speed assistance, and drowsiness detection. The passenger experience is also emphasized, with onboard Wi-Fi, USB ports, an infotainment system, and a low-floor design for easier access.

Already Proven VinFast eBuses

VinFast emphasizes that its electric buses have already been in operation in Vietnam for four years, as part of the first national zero-emission bus network. The company produces between 1,500 and 2,000 vehicles each year, according to standards compliant with European norms.

In Europe, VinFast’s strategy is based on forming partnerships with transport and infrastructure stakeholders to ensure the gradual deployment of its buses. This arrival is in line with European climate objectives: achieving 90% zero-emission buses by 2030 and 100% by 2035.
