Lamborghini Pregunta: the intriguing French concept is for sale

The Lamborghini Pregunta, a concept car from 1998 dressed by the French coachbuilder Heuliez, will be auctioned in October.

The Lamborghini Pregunta is an automotive UFO. Designed in 1998 on the basis of the Diablo, it was the last concept car unveiled by the brand before its acquisition by Volkswagen. This unique model will be offered at auction by Broad Arrow during the Zoute Concours, in Belgium, on October 10, 2025. Its estimated value is between 2.5 and 3.5 million euros.

While its atmospheric V12 with 529 horsepower paired with a manual gearbox stays true to the Lamborghini DNA, the body that surrounds it is resolutely French. The coachbuilder Heuliez, based in Cerizay, crafted a body made entirely of carbon fiber, inspired by the Dassault Rafale. The matte gray, exhaust outlets reminiscent of jet engines, and the panoramic windshield convey this tricolor aeronautical influence.

A tribute to France that innovates

The cockpit, covered in azure Alcantara, already featured innovations ahead of its time: cameras instead of mirrors, integrated GPS, ambient lighting, and digital instrumentation derived from Formula 1. This enhances the futuristic aura of this Lamborghini concept car.

First presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1998, the Lamborghini Pregunta is a testament to a unique collaboration between Italy and France. It also illustrates the capability of the coachbuilder Heuliez, better known for its Peugeot and Citroën prototypes, to venture into the exclusive realm of supercars.
