Absent from the dealership, the Dacia Duster holds video calls with customers

Unveiled on November 29, 2023, the Dacia Duster has indeed opened its order book, but customers are buying it without having seen it.

The trend among manufacturers is to occupy space… with emptiness. Communication around a new model will always happen earlier. Now, nearly a year before the commercial launch, or even a year and a half before the first deliveries. This is the case with the Ford Explorer, and to a lesser extent, the new Dacia Duster.

Presented at the end of 2023 and tested by the press since February 2024 with pre-production versions, to pass the time, the Romanian-French manufacturer Dacia no longer makes promises. In its latest communication, it promises examples in dealerships “around the summer of 2024”. That’s not simple.

Virtual Dealerships?

But there is urgency to fill the order book, otherwise loyal customers will turn to the competition. Dacia is therefore innovating in a hurry and launching “Dacia Live appointments” since March 6, 2024. The goal: to present the new Dacia Duster in a video call, as one would conduct a professional meeting.

In turn, brand experts are responsible for presenting the new star of the catalog to prospects eager to learn more before placing an order. Live for 30 minutes, internet users can ask all their questions to the brand representative. Prices, options, accessories, services, they will get answers to everything.

These Dacia Live appointments will be held until June 30, 2024, and will also be open in April for the new Dacia Spring.

Available slots to participate in these appointments are offered on the site Dacia.fr. Depending on the success of the experience, it could be repeated in the future to adapt to new internet sales methods.
