Despite setting a faster last lap than his teammate Oscar Piastri, the Brit will start in second place, just behind Max Verstappen. Piastri qualifies third, completing the trio still in contention for the title. The atmosphere at the first turn promises to be explosive!

Verstappen, dazzling in this qualifying session, set a blistering lap, taking advantage of the slipstream from Yuki Tsunoda and securing two purple sectors and one green in the final. Behind them, George Russell and Charles Leclerc will start fourth and fifth, ready to capitalize on any mistake. Fernando Alonso and Gabriel Bortoleto are close behind, while Esteban Ocon and Isack Hadjar confirmed their form in Q3, showing they could disrupt the favorites’ plan.

Q1 was more painful for Lewis Hamilton, eliminated prematurely alongside the two Alpines, a setback that slightly darkens the end of a tough season.
