The Hybrid Apache Dominates in Africa

Apache Automotive dominated the Africa Eco Race with Gautier Paulin’s victory and five stage wins by Pierre-Louis Loubet.

Apache Automotive was founded by a group of entrepreneurs passionate about motorsport and the environment. This participation in the Africa Eco Race once again demonstrates that motorsport must be at the forefront of innovation. The entity formed in 2022 entered two lightweight Prototypes (Challenger/T3U type) in the event, with diverse crews: Pierre-Louis Loubet, coming from WRC with François Borsotto, and motocross champion Gautier Paulin with navigator Rémi Boulanger. The four of them dominated the race!

The overall victory went to Gautier Paulin and Rémi Boulanger, with a huge lead of nearly 4 hours over their pursuers! The achievement is all the more remarkable because the Apache APH-01 features hybrid technology. This is the first time a rally raid has been won by a T3U.

Featuring an avant-garde design combined with eco-friendly materials such as linen fiber, the APH-01 integrates a state-of-the-art 48V hybrid technology powered by biofuel. It thus offers a clean and sustainable alternative to traditional combustion engines. This adventure aligns with Apache Automotive’s ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainable development in motorsport. It marks a crucial step in the development and testing of these T3Us ahead of their commercial launch expected at the beginning of 2024.
