Xiaomi: A Future High-End Electric Scooter at €1,000?

Rumors are circulating about a potential Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra that could top the range. Announcement expected on February 26?

On many fronts, Xiaomi is currently preparing its new lineup of various electronic products for 2023. Rumors are already circulating about the next smartphone or smartwatch, but what interests Mobiwisy here is the upcoming electric scooter. It could potentially be named the Mi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra.

More battery or suspensions?

This information comes from a certain billbil-kun, and should be treated with caution. In his tweet, he assures us that this model will be the top of the range, with Ultra positioned above the Scooter 4 Pro. Its price is expected to be €999, well beyond the €799 of the Pro. How might Xiaomi justify the €200 difference?

Two possibilities, considering that the weight of the Xiaomi Ultra would increase to 24.5 kg, which is 7 kg more. That’s huge for an electric scooter! The first option would be a very large battery, competing with the Segway P65, entirely integrated into the deck. The second option is the addition of suspensions. Demanding, the French market—its first in the world—is keen on this type of suspended device, similar to free-floating scooters or Dualtron, Urbanglide, or Segway P100. But, for under €1,000, only a basic front suspension will be included.

A larger Xiaomi Scooter 4 Ultra scooter

Another detail from the Twitter leaker: the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra is expected to measure 126 x 120 x 55 cm. While no specifics are provided, it’s likely that 1.26 meters is the height of the handlebar, slightly taller than the 4 Pro by 2 cm. This would suggest a length of approximately 1.20 meters, very similar to the 4 Pro, but with a much wider handlebar at 55 cm versus 48 cm on the Pro.

Xiaomi is holding a press conference on February 26 to unveil its new products. Hopefully, including this new electric scooter.
