Starting from May 26, 2025, Île-de-France Mobilités inaugurates a new innovative and eco-friendly mode of transportation for residents of Île-de-France.
This initiative of launching a first carpools line in Île-de-France on the Saclay plateau aims to facilitate travel while addressing the region’s environmental and social challenges.
How does it work?
The concept differs from traditional carpooling services. Passengers indicate their transportation need from a stop through the app, an SMS, or a phone call. Registered drivers on the app are then alerted and can pick up passengers along their route. This service operates from Monday to Friday, from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m.
To encourage drivers, Île-de-France Mobilités offers attractive financial incentives:
- €0.50 for each trip over 5 km declared during peak hours, even without passengers.
- €2 per passenger transported for trips over 2 km.
