Zero Score for the Tranche Police

The municipal police of La Tranche-sur-Mer has recently added two Zero FXE electric motorcycles to their fleet.

These new Zero FXE electric motorcycles will serve as a complementary role in patrols for these seasoned riders of the Republic. Located on the Vendée Atlantic coast, facing the Île de Ré, La Tranche-sur-Mer made the decision in 2023 to electrify part of its vehicle fleet dedicated to the municipal police. Particularly for accessing areas inaccessible to regular vehicles, such as the 14.7 kilometers of beaches or the state forest exposed to a high risk of fire during the summer season. They will also enable a presence across the entire cycling network of La Tranche-sur-Mer, which stretches for about 40 kilometers. Thus, the Municipal Police will be able to carry out preventive activities by reminding citizens of safety rules for responsible cycling.

In addition to being silent and zero-emission, thus minimizing environmental impact and fully aligning with the city’s eco-tourism policy, the Zero FXE electric motorcycles prove to be a crucial asset during the summer season, when traffic becomes dense or even saturated. The ability to reach the scene quickly when a call is received by the Municipal Police is a fundamental condition for a successful intervention.

The Zero dealer in La Roche-sur-Yon – Lebrasseur Moto Center – provided the two FXE motorcycles to the municipality of La Tranche-sur-Mer at the beginning of the year. The Zero specialist handled the preparation of the bikes by outfitting them with their specific accessories (light bars and protections) to maintain the bikes’ lightness and agility for rapid and effective interventions.
