The Pokémon Koraidon Comes to Life in 48 Hours Thanks to Honda!

Honda is preparing to unveil a Pokémon Koraidon concept motorcycle. A model that is sure to delight fans of all ages!

Honda is about to reveal a motorcycle inspired by Koraidon, an iconic character from the game Pokémon Scarlet, featuring animated characteristics such as moving hands, eyes, face, neck, and feet. This unique model will be showcased as part of the Honda Koraidon Project, in collaboration with The Pokémon Company. Fans will have the opportunity to see this exceptional motorcycle at the Honda Welcome Plaza Aoyama in Tokyo, Japan, from March 7 to 9, 2025.

This is not the first time Pokémon has been exploited by manufacturers. We previously talked about the Toyota Miraidon motorcycle or the MINI Aceman Pikachu, but Honda seems determined to do more than just a show concept.

The main innovation of this motorcycle lies in its balance control technology. Introduced for the first time at CES 2017, this technology called Honda Riding Assist allows the vehicle to stay upright without a kickstand. Thus, the motorcycle can remain balanced even if the rider temporarily lets go of the handlebars, although this is not recommended. This model takes it even further with its animated elements, paying homage to the character’s design.

An immersive experience true to Koraidon

The Honda Koraidon motorcycle is designed to accurately reflect the dimensions and details of the character from the video game. The design team worked meticulously on features such as facial traits to provide full immersion. The creators want viewers and future riders to feel like they are meeting the real Koraidon. In Pokémon Scarlet, released in 2022, this reptilian companion accompanies the hero throughout their adventure, changing form as needed. Honda is translating this feature into the real world by incorporating movements into the motorcycle’s physical elements.

For now, no technical specifications have been disclosed. Visitors will nonetheless have the unique opportunity to admire this hybrid piece combining technology and imagination during its exhibition in Tokyo.
