You can now park your Skoda with your smartphone

James Bond dreamed of it, car manufacturers made it happen. Skoda generalizes remote parking.

Skoda makes life even easier for its drivers with the arrival of Remote Park Assist in the MySkoda mobile app. Thanks to this new feature, you can park or retrieve your vehicle from a parking space… without being inside it! Everything is done remotely, directly from your smartphone.

This option is available on several recent Skoda models: Enyaq, Enyaq Coupe, Elroq, Kodiaq, Superb, and Octavia. It works for both parallel parking and bay parking, even in the tightest spots. A real plus to avoid scratches or to exit the car easily, even when space is limited. If an obstacle is detected or if you move more than 5 meters away, the maneuver stops automatically.

How does it work?

First, connect your phone to your car via the MySkoda app. During the first use, you will need to scan a QR code to link the two. Then, let the vehicle detect an available parking space. Press the automatic parking button, then choose whether to stay inside or step out.

To use the Remote Park Assist, step out of the car with your phone and keys. In the app, select “remote parking” and follow the instructions. Throughout the maneuver, you must keep your finger pressed on the screen. In case of a problem, the vehicle’s sensors immediately stop the process.

The Remote Park Assist makes parking much simpler, especially in tight spaces. It also allows you to exit a parking space more easily without the risk of touching neighboring cars. It is a solution that is both comfortable and reassuring, always under the driver’s control.
