Rétrofit

It’s so simple and brilliant, but someone had to think of it. R-FIT offers a digital dashboard for your classic cars.

Offended at the idea of losing its soul through reckless retrofitting, you’re not quite ready to convert your old gasoline car, but wouldn’t mind giving it a small technological facelift?

While retrofitting is booming and mainly focused on electrification, R-FIT, Design1880, and Incari are joining forces to develop customized vintage cars. Aiming to focus on the user experience, these entities are collaborating to co-develop a new dashboard designed to modernize iconic vehicles such as the 2CV, the 4L, and the Fiat 500.

Engaging in restomod, a trend that updates vintage vehicles with today’s technology, Design1880’s approach mainly focuses on modernizing uses related to new mobility modes, including retrofitting. The company has also designed the digital counters for R-FIT.

On the technological side, Incari, a company specializing in developing platforms for designing and creating advanced human-machine interfaces (HMI), turned the HMI system from a concept into reality. Pushing the user experience to an entirely new level, the company replaces the analog speedometer with a digital screen that continuously provides relevant information to enhance driving pleasure.

R-FIT will showcase this new digital counter at the Epoqu’Auto show in Lyon. Seamlessly integrated into the dashboard, it gives vehicles a modern, technological new look. Vehicles featuring this innovation will notably be displayed at stand O13, Hall 4.
