Nissan Hyper Tourer, the Hyper Mobility of Tomorrow

The third 100% electric concept to be presented by Nissan at the Japan Mobility Show redefines the way friends and family enjoy traveling together.

After Hyper Urban and Hyper Adventure, Nissan today unveiled the Nissan Hyper Tourer, the third in a series of advanced electric vehicle concepts that will be showcased at the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo, starting October 25. A full-scale model of the Nissan Hyper Tourer will be on display at the show.

This mini-van, 100% electric, aims to foster and strengthen bonds between people traveling together. The Nissan Hyper Tourer concept is designed for those who appreciate beauty and enjoy the company of family, friends, or colleagues, whether on a road trip or a business trip.

The Nissan Hyper Tourer combines the essence of omotenashi (traditional Japanese hospitality) with various advanced technologies, including autonomous driving. The V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) feature and high-capacity batteries enable it to supply electricity to homes, stores, and offices.

The sides of the vehicle extend diagonally from the front wing to the rear wing for optimal aerodynamic performance and showcase the smooth driving experience resulting from the combination of electric powertrain and autonomous driving systems. The white waistline acts as both a projector and a luminous signature, while the Kumiko-patterned wheels and sleek, straight body line give a premium feel.

The spacious interior is made possible by Nissan EV Technology Vision, combining compact components and solid-state batteries with high energy density to create an innovative automotive architecture. The low center of gravity, combined with the advanced e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive system, ensures smooth, linear acceleration and deceleration. The console and ceiling lighting feature traditional Japanese motifs kumiko and koushi, conveying luxury, while the LED ground panel displays images of a riverbed and sky, creating a relaxing space where digital meets nature.

The fully autonomous driving allows the driver to focus on interacting with travel companions. The front seats can rotate 360 degrees, enabling face-to-face conversation between front and rear passengers. Rear passengers can use a portable screen to manage navigation and the audio system, creating a sense of unity among all occupants. Moreover, an innovative AI system can monitor biometrics, including brainwaves, heart rate, breathing, and sweat, then automatically select music and adjust lighting to match their mood.
