Lancia Emozione Pu+Ra: Star of the Upcoming Milan Fashion Week

We have already discussed in Mobiwisy’s columns that Lancia’s future will be electric. The Lancia Emozione Pu+Ra concept also hints at the return of a well-known sporty model.

It was exactly 8 years ago. The Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) group announced that it was withdrawing the iconic Lancia brand from the French market, a decision that became fully effective in 2018. Several essential models like the Delta and even the Voyager (originally from Chrysler) disappeared, followed some time later by the Ypsilon city car, which did not enjoy the same commercial success as the Y10 or even the original Ypsilon.

The Italian city car is still sold in Italy, where it has benefited from numerous restylings and special edition series. It is also doing very well in Italy, having been produced in 41,000 units in 2022! That represents a market share of 15.3%. It competes closely with the Fiat Panda and Fiat 500, which share the podium with it.

However, its end of production is announced for the end of 2023. Next year, the new Lancia Ypsilon will be completely renewed and will share its technical platform with the Peugeot e-208 electric. Stellantis will also relaunch the model in France in 2024 as an electric, but the decision has not yet been made for the micro-hybrid thermal version.

The return of the Lancia Stratos?

Then, Lancia will launch a 100% electric premium model in 2026, while preparing the grand return of the Lancia Delta saloon, scheduled for 2028.

To keep us waiting, Lancia will make a notable appearance at Milan Fashion Week starting April 15, 2023. The Emozione Pu+Ra concept car is expected to outline the main features of the upcoming models, while also adding a nostalgic touch. Fans of the Italian brand will recognize the nod to the legendary Lancia Stratos, produced from 1973 to 1978 and which won numerous rallies.
