Peugeot e-2008: A Stunning Facelift
This page is translated from the original post "Peugeot e-2008 : un restylage du tonnerre" in French.

A new version of the Peugeot e-2008 is now available. More efficient and more innovative, the city SUV makes a bold statement!
Competitors better watch out, Peugeot’s city SUV has unveiled its new look today. The car’s design, engine performance, and technology inside the vehicle have all been revamped. From summer 2023, it will be a SUV with an aggressive and assertive style cruising our streets.
The e-2008 SUV is an important model for Peugeot. Indeed, it has been one of the best-selling vehicles in the French car market since January, with 17,529 units sold according to PFA. The new e-2008 retains the same exterior dimensions: 4.30 m long, 1.987 m wide (including mirrors), and 1.55 m high. The trunk volume remains unchanged at 434 liters (with the parcel shelf).
Three versions of the new e-2008 SUV will be produced at the Vigo factory in Spain: Active, Allure, and GT. A significant increase in battery capacity is notable on this new version, which will go from 50 kWh to 54 kWh. This raises the power from 100 kW/136 hp to 115 kW/156 hp. The vehicle’s theoretical range increases to 406 km in WLTP mixed cycle. A hybrid version will be available from 2024.
A visual and mechanical upgrade, then, but what about the details of this facelift?
A more aggressive look for the e-2008
One of the first elements that caught our attention on this new Peugeot SUV are the lion claw-shaped headlights. It seems this has become one of Peugeot’s new symbols. This design element also calls to mind the Peugeot 9X8, the model entered in this year’s WEC (World Endurance Championship).
The new claws and the altered lower section of the front grille give this car a more aggressive and commanding style. The rear lights have also been redesigned. There are now “three thin, horizontally stacked double slats that visually widen the stance of the car”.
The Peugeot e-2008 introduces a new color option, Otkenite White, for even more customization. The GT trim will feature a black bi-tone roof, matching the mirrors. These will be exclusively available in black, giving the model a distinctive look.
Overall, the Peugeot e-2008 will be available in six colors to suit your preferences: Selenium Gray, Artense Gray, Otkenite White, Perla Nera Black, Elixir Red, and Vertigo Blue.
A more emotional interior in the e-2008
The new infotainment system in the Peugeot SUV will be fully digital on the Allure and GT trims. On the latter, the standard 10-inch screen even displays information in 3D. It’s like being a sci-fi movie hero!
Moreover, the display color, hierarchy, and information layout are fully customizable based on the driver’s preferences. This allows quick access to what matters most—music, GPS, or driver assistance systems . And yes, in the GT trim, you can even personalize the interior lighting in eight different colors.

The PEUGEOT i-Connect infotainment system is standard on all new e-2008 models, with the option to upgrade to PEUGEOT i-Connect Advanced. This provides full connectivity with wireless mirror linking (Apple CarPlay/Android Auto). Additionally, the new SUV features a high-performance connected navigation system by TomTom. To ensure optimal readability, the map display covers the entire 10-inch screen.
The new high-definition front and rear parking assist cameras offer sharper images. Depending on the trim level, the advanced high-definition front camera (paired with blind-spot monitoring) is now available as an option, capable of generating a 360° view of the vehicle’s surroundings—an invaluable aid during parking maneuvers.
A new powertrain for the e-2008
Just like the batteries in Citroën’s ë-C4 and ë-C4X, the vehicle’s range has been improved. Peugeot claims a theoretical 406 km range, enough to travel between Paris and Strasbourg with just two 30-minute charges along the way. Of course, this range is based on ideal conditions with a light vehicle weight. Real-world range is estimated around 300-350 km. Considering the average French driver covers about 1015 km per month, this is more than sufficient for daily commutes between home and work!
Peugeot supplies a 7.4 kW single-phase charger for your electric vehicle. An 11 kW three-phase charger can be purchased at an additional cost. The Lion brand estimates that charging from 20% to 80% takes about 30 minutes via a public fast charger (100 kW), 4h40 via a Wall Box (7.4 kW), and 11h10 from a standard socket (3.2 kW).
The charging times are quite long, especially since off-peak energy hours are only from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. You will need to plan your charging to avoid running out of power. Two petrol engine options (PureTech 100 and PureTech 130) and one diesel (BlueHDi 130 EAT8) will also be available simultaneously.
The e-2008 model currently has no official sale price. It should be announced in the coming weeks. We hope the vehicle will benefit future buyers with the eco bonus and the conversion premium!
