Simply named Space, it welcomes passengers into a cocoon inspired by Chinese architecture. Instead of the usual row of seats, GAC has installed a large bench at the rear, a small table in the middle, and two swiveling chairs at the front. The minivan is also equipped with a sofa that, similar to the fold-up seats of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, extends from the rear compartment so occupants can fully enjoy the scenery. Access to the vehicle is facilitated by butterfly doors at the rear and the absence of a central pillar. The dashboard, very minimalist, forms an arc that extends toward the back.

GAC’s minivan is also interesting for its exterior design, which is quite original. The slightly sloped roofline extends beyond the tailgate to form a fin, before taking a sharp downward plunge in the opposite direction. The front is marked by a large LED bar overlooking a false, luminous grille of impressive dimensions. The absence of mirrors and door handles further simplifies an already minimalist silhouette.
GAC quickly touches on the technical aspects. The only thing the Chinese manufacturer states is that its minivan features a hydrogen powertrain.

The Space was unveiled during a global event that also allowed GAC to address other topics. For example, the Chinese manufacturer announced the arrival of iron-lithium batteries, which are expected to bring significant improvements in energy density. GAC also revealed a new hydrogen-fueled combustion engine.
