The Hyundai Tucson gets a minor facelift

The family SUV from Hyundai will undergo both mechanical and aesthetic facelift in 2024. Here are its first exterior outlines.

At Hyundai, they know not to change a successful model too much, and logically, the aesthetic modifications to the South Korean SUV will not jump out at you. More than a completely new model, it is rather a well-executed facelift and technical updates to make its best-seller more efficient and up-to-date technologically.

Anyway, people are either sensitive or not at all to the charms of the Tucson. Its angular lines, pixelated grille, and highly marked body creases make it an atypical player in the market. And apparently, it’s pleasing judging by the volume of sales. That’s why Hyundai has agreed to its modernization in 2024, with newer, sportier bumpers, darker headlights, new two-tone rims, and matte shades of striking effect. Once again, nothing revolutionary like Dacia with the new Duster, but noticeable evolutions that allow one to identify this new model at a glance.

Inside, the new XXL digital display serves as a unified interface with the occupants. The focus is on the latest driving assistance solutions, including autonomous emergency braking with intersection turn function, intelligent cruise control paired with navigation with curve handling, vehicle, pedestrian, and cyclist detection systems, and an advanced navigation system to anticipate turns or straight lines ahead and adjust the speed accordingly. An update that places it among the top in its class.
