F1 Creates a Generational Link at Alpine

From the A110 of the 1960s to the electric SUV A390 of 2026, Alpine showcases its heritage and future through a “family photo” of F1.

The Alpine F1 Team officially launched its 2026 season marked by new technical regulations that promise to transform the competition. The team presented its A526 single-seater, a symbol of a new era for Alpine, and staged a unique gathering of its iconic models through the generations.

To highlight the generational link of the brand, the 1960s A110 berlinette joined the 2026 electric SUV A390, forming a true “family photo” around the F1 single-seater. This image illustrates Alpine’s continuous evolution, from its classic sports cars to modern electric models, while affirming its historical commitment to performance and innovation.

A season to shape the future

Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto unveiled the A526, while David Sanchez, Executive Technical Director, presented the collaboration with Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains on the power unit. The single-seater features a completely redesigned chassis and aerodynamics, with reduced dimensions and a weight reduction of 30 kg. These changes, compliant with the 2026 regulations, are expected to make races more spectacular and offer Alpine new opportunities for competitiveness.

Flavio Briatore and Steve Nielsen detailed the season’s strategy, emphasizing the challenge posed by this unprecedented regulation that offers the team a “blank slate,” and the importance of continuous development throughout the year.
