France: A Land of Conquest for Zeekr

The Chinese manufacturer Zeekr accelerates its offensive with the presentation of the Zeekr 7GT, a high-end electric grand tourer.

The Chinese manufacturer Zeekr, a premium brand of the Geely group specializing in electric vehicles, officially announced its entry into the French market on May 7, 2026. Already established in several European countries, the brand aims to strengthen its presence in a market considered strategic in the context of the rise of premium electric mobility.

On the occasion of this launch, Zeekr confirmed its participation in the Top Marques Monaco show and organized an event dedicated to French journalists. The brand presented its new flagship model, the Zeekr 7GT, as well as its entire electric range consisting of the Zeekr X, Zeekr 7X, and Zeekr 001 models.

Zeekr aims for the top of the market

The French market represents a major challenge for electric vehicle manufacturers. With strong growth in electric vehicle sales and nearly two million models on the road, France is among the most dynamic European markets in the sector.

The Zeekr 7GT is positioned in the high-performance premium electric car segment. The manufacturer highlights a power output of up to 646 horsepower and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 3.3 seconds for the all-wheel-drive version. The model also claims up to 655 kilometers of range according to the WLTP cycle.

The sedan benefits from an 800-volt architecture allowing for a fast charge from 10 to 80% in 13 to 16 minutes. It also features a digital cockpit with a 15-inch OLED screen, augmented reality heads-up display, 5G connectivity, and advanced driver assistance systems.

Zeekr plans to gradually open several retail outlets in France, particularly in Aix-en-Provence, Paris, Lyon, Fréjus, Aubagne, and Rennes. With this commercial offensive, the brand aims to establish itself as a new alternative against historic premium manufacturers like Audi, BMW, or Mercedes-Benz in the high-end electric vehicle market.
