You will no longer be able to watch Disney+ on your Tesla

Following an online dispute between the bosses of Tesla and Disney+, the manufacturer has removed the streaming platform from its cars.

It feels like we’re in a schoolyard. Except we’re talking about companies worth billions and employing tens of thousands of people.

It all began in November when Disney CEO Bob Iger announced the end of all advertising campaigns on the social network X. The reason cited was the spread of antisemitic content and messages of racial hate on Elon Musk’s social network, formerly known as Twitter.

In response, Elon Musk retaliated, admitting he’s glad Disney no longer buys advertising from him, claiming that the animation studio is overrun by a mental “woke” virus (Political and controversial expression used to stigmatize a radical view of social justice and minority defense). Musk publicly told Bob Iger to “go fuck yourself”.

The latest consequence: Tesla has decided to remove Disney+ streaming service from its cars. A decision that, starting from a dispute on X, ends up impacting Tesla. By trying to mix everything and politicize what shouldn’t be, isn’t Elon Musk playing dangerously with his automotive company… of which he isn’t just a co-owner?

To recap, it is not possible to watch videos from the front seats while the vehicle is moving. It can only be done when parked (for example, during a charge) or from the rear seats during the trip.
