VinFast VF8: the offensive is taking shape
This page is translated from the original post "VinFast VF8 : l’offensive se précise" in French.

The Vietnamese manufacturer has just delivered the first 100 units of its new 100% electric SUV, the Vinfast VF 8. A teaser before its European debut at the Paris Motor Show 2022.
While Chinese brands are making headlines in the automotive world, another Asian manufacturer, this time from Vietnam, may soon be in the spotlight. Vinfast was founded in 2018 and despite its youth, the Hanoi-based brand has partnered with renowned players such as Bosch, Magna Steyr, Pininfarina, and Siemens to develop a serious line-up at a very fast pace.
The spearhead of its offensive is called the VF8, a SUV with distinctive lines, with the first 100 units delivered to Vietnamese customers. The company plans to export the next 5,000 units to Canada, the United States, and of course Europe by 2022. Its ambitions are very high, as Vinfast plans to sell up to 750,000 electric cars annually!

Two versions and the option to rent the battery
Already visible on the French configurator, the Vinfast VF 8 will undoubtedly be one of the main attractions at the upcoming Paris Motor Show 2022. As a reminder, two 100% electric versions will be offered: ECO with 353 hp (up to 471 km range according to WLTP standards with the 87.7 kWh battery) and PLUS with 408 hp (up to 447 km range according to WLTP standards with the 87.7 kWh battery).
In addition to its highly equipped features, the Vinfast VF 8 will offer a warranty of 10 years or 200,000 km. Prices remain quite attractive, starting at €46,050 with a rare battery rental system, reaching up to €82,950 with batteries included for the PLUS 87.7 kWh version!
