It’s still early to take advantage of a promotion on the new Tesla Model 3 presented this morning, but what about used ones?

We warned you a few days ago, it’s still far too early to rush into buying a used Tesla Model 3. The commercial life of a car consists of specific phases and with its restyling announced this morning, the Tesla Model 3 has entered a “critical” bubble where good deals will soon become available. This analysis still applies for equivalent models, but what if we look around the catalog a bit?

The new Tesla Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive now boasts a range of 554 km, equivalent to the previous “Long Range” version. With an initial price of 42,990 euros before the ecological bonus of 5,000 euros, it amounts to 37,990 euros, which is quite reasonable. No used models of this version are available at Tesla, which makes sense to avoid disrupting the launch of the new model, so you’ll have to wait to find a good deal.

Let’s focus on the famous “Long Range” version. On the new model, the range climbs to 629 km, and the price makes a slight jump to 50,990 euros, which excludes the ecological bonus. Could this be the smart purchase?

On the official Tesla website, you can soon find a 2020 Model 3, Long Range all-wheel drive, available in Valenton in the 94 for 35,800 euros, that is 15,190 euros less than the new model. Of course, we’re comparing two very different cars here, but that still represents a 30% discount! You can also benefit from a up to 72-month loan with early repayment option without additional fees after 36 months.

For this price, you’ll get a car with the same range as a basic 2024 Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive, that is 560 km, painted in an attractive Deep Blue Metallic color with 18″ Aero wheels. In terms of sensations, the car is equipped with upgraded Autopilot and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, compared to 6.1 seconds for a 2024 rear-wheel-drive!

In short, the security and acceleration advantages of all-wheel drive at a lower price than a rear-wheel drive. Sure, the vehicle shows 65,145 km on the odometer, but that’s very reasonable for an electric, and the 2020 model already addressed some of the build quality and reliability issues seen in early versions. Basic warranty until March 2024 or 80,000 km, with an additional 1-year, 20,000 km warranty for a certified Tesla used vehicle. You can enjoy it with peace of mind for 18 months and 35,000 km. The battery and drivetrain are covered until March 2028 and 192,000 km, offering a worry-free experience.
