The production of the new Tesla Model Y launched on October 22?

According to Chinese insiders, production of the refreshed Tesla Model Y will begin at the Shanghai factory on October 22, 2024.

Tesla no longer has the luxury of waiting. The Model Y needs to be modernized quickly as its age is becoming apparent in the face of increasingly fierce competition. While there isn’t a rival that sells as many units as the California SUV, the cumulative sales of competitors are dangerously eroding Tesla‘s leading position. However, the slow ramp-up of assembly lines and the need to build a significant initial stock for launch suggest that the first deliveries will indeed not happen before 2025.
